Nazi Motorcycles

Who knows their motorcycles?   I noticed this on the street in Gythion.  My first thought knowing how proud the Greeks are of their resistance to the German invasion and occupation is that this is a war trophy.  I have seen this before in towns on Crete, BMW motorcycles proudly displayed in front of shops as a monument to their expulsion of the Nazi occupiers.  But that was decades ago and I don't remember the details of the models used by Germany during World War II.

Pyramids, Pyramids, Pyramids

 Well, today I signed the permit to finally after more than 2 years get back to work at Tell Timai!                                                                                              There are some amazing and wonderous things that we are working on in the seasons to come, but surprises are coming even before we have had a chance to get started.       As we stepped out of the Ministry to take a few congratulatory pics with the Pyramids--they never get old...I mean they are old and we get old, but taking photos of the pyramids never gets old--as we finished we had one hell of a surprise. We saw a 'UFO' fly right between the Pyramids.  For security reasons I cannot show my pics or disclose what we saw, but it is fair ...
